Lucie Krysatis

Lucie Krysatis was born in Luxembourg in 1997. At the age of 6 she began playing the horn at the “Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg” with Mr. Carlo Pettinger. Lucie was able to celebrate her first successes early on at the “Concours Européen pour Jeunes Solistes” with the gold medal, the Prix-SACEM, the Prix Diffwinds and the EMCY Award 2014.


From 2017 until 2021 Lucie studied with Prof. Johannes Hinterholzer and Prof. Carsten Duffin at the “Hochschule für Musik und Theater” in Munich, where she completed her bachelor's degree. Lucie is currently studying in Prof. Sibylle Mahni's class at the Hanns Eisler University of Music in Berlin.


In 2019 she won first prize and Sonderpreis des Bayrischen Rundfunks at the International Jan Koetsier Chamber Music Competition with her horn quartet “QuadriCor”. In 2020 she was awarded the “Sonderpreis” at the Gasteig competition.

Furthermore, Lucie was a scholarship holder of the Richard Wagner Association Munich and a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra from 2019 - 2021. In the 2021/22 season she worked as an academist with the NDR Elphilharmonieorchester.


Since 2022 Lucie Krysatis is the principal horn of the Hamburger Symphoniker
